Mending Toes...

This may go down in history as one of the most boring posts ever and for that, I deeply apologize.

Brad has a pair of those shoes that you just slide your feet into - I call them scuffs - I have no idea what someone with an ounce of fashion sense would call them. Anyhow, they have been re-christened...the "sock killers".

These socks obviously need new toes but those of you with really good eyesight will also see a weak point in the brown at the far left that needed duplicate stitching. These were perfectly fine 2 days ago - before the sock killers came to town. Booo! Hisssss! Booo!

An hour or so later...

Am I the only one amused by how squared off unblocked toes are?

Not to worry - I haven't been spending all of my time mending socks. I'm working feverishly on a baby blanket and yet another baby was born yesterday which will also require something fab. I need more baby knitting time - 9 months just isn't long enough somehow.

Oh yeah, and here's a bonus for you. Just a few days after I fixed these toes, he wore those shoes again and blew out a heel. I think it's time for the scuffs to take a vacation...a long one.

Salina

I finally got up early enough to wrangle Brad into a Salina photo shoot before he left for work hence the headless shots. It was early people!!

My cami is pulled down way too low, I really need a new stylist for these early morning shoots...

I am completely in love with this sweater...I would wear it everyday if it weren't suddenly 18 degrees celsius. Oh Spring, why couldn't you wait just one more week...?

Project Specs
Pattern: Salina from Rowan Vintage Knits (size Medium).
Yarn: Rowan Felted Tweed - used exactly 6 balls just like the pattern promised.
Needles: The recommended 31/4 and 33/4.
Comments: Love the yarn, love the pattern, love the sweater! I got a little confused sewing the cuffs on but in the end they came out perfectly fine.

Good Things

Today is a good day. Why?

1. The sun is shining and the birds are singing. There were over 40 robins in our backyard Saturday morning - never seen so many in one place before. Then on Sunday the ice broke up in the Head Pond so it is actually looking and feeling like Spring! No more ice!!

2. My good friend Inica crocheted this gorgeous afghan for me! Isn't that a great gift? I LOVE it and have been using it to cozy up and watch TV.

Here are Inica and I. This is a terrible picture - we both look completely pissed off. Wanna know why? Cause we were! The guys had just kicked our @sses at Cranium. I swear we are not sore losers, they are just really annoying winners. Anyhow - thanks for the wonderful (and GENEROUS) gift Inica!!

3. I've got an FO to show off later this week when I have time for a good photo shoot. Recognize ths one?? It's been a while since you all have seen it...
